A synchronized launching of the Comprehensive Reform and Agenda (CRDA) took place simultaneously in various cities and municipalities across ARMM and Regions IX, X and XII last October 29, 2016. Generally aiming to uplift the lives of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) and other conflict affected areas, President Rodrigo Duterte personally graced the launching at the main site, in Cotabato City.
Among the four launching sites in Region 12 alone, GenSar Province pinned their program at the Oval Covered Court, General Santos City. Convergence, synergy and true to its sense, the Bayanihan spirit is alive and evident in a rare occasion where several inter agencies poured resources to actively support the thrusts of the new administration. TESDA as lead convener, partners with the Department of Health (DOH) in leading the activity to a success.
Ongoing throughout the program is the setting up of a One-Stop Shop display of services which were availed by the Sarangans and Generals. Likewise, a Free Hair Cut and Massage services were facilitated by TESDA through the participation of tapped Technical Vocational Schools. The Department of Health (DOH) rendered free Blood Pressure checking, Random Blood Sugar screening and Body Mass Indexing.
During the program proper, TESDA Deputy Director Atty. Diosdado O. Padilla, DDG for Communities and Local Government Sector, graced the event and delivered his keynote message emphasizing the many programs and reforms for 2016 and beyond. Highlighting the activity is the ceremonial awarding of services by the different regional line agencies for the poverty-stricken and conflict affected constituents in the province.
Government agencies participated in the ceremonial awarding of poverty interventions. TESDA has given 25 Scholarship Vouchers for Motorcycle/Small Engine Servicing NC II for constituents in Bawing, General Santos City. Another 25 Scholarship vouchers for Automotive Servicing NC I to beneficiaries of Barangay Lumasal, Sarangani Province and another 25 beneficiaries from Malapatan Sarangani Province will be given Security Services NC I training. The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) thru the ESGP-PA (Expanded Students’ Grants-in-Aid Program for Poverty Alleviation) has given 20 slots for beneficiaries from conflict-affected areas in Sarangani Province which implementation is carried by the Mindanao State University General (MSU-GSC) Santos City Campus.
The Department of Agriculture and their attached agency has issued Certificates of DA Assistance (kits, equipment, tools for farming) to individuals and 2 of the identified Cooperative and Association. The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources has also awarded Certificates of Assistance giving away non-motorized fishing boat with fishing gears, and equipment like a fish cage to Association-beneficiaries.
PhilHealth Gensan has given away PhilHealth cards to identified indigenous people who belong to the marginalized sector in General Santos City. During the launching of the reform agenda, the National Housing Authority pledge to commit 200 safe and decent shelters for the IP Beneficiaries. The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has demonstrated one of their active roles in nurturing the welfare of the children by way of supplemental feeding. The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) commits to support to emerging entrepreneurs in their business quest.
Throughout the day LGU Gensan has showcased how strongly they support this activity through sponsoring and hosting for the event in Gensan. The launching was a spectacle of Bayanihan and concluded with a success.
