TESDA Scholarship Programs
TESDA addresses the issue of equity and access to technical education and skills development (TESD) opportunities by providing direct financial assistance to deserving TESD enrollees. TESDA currently implements the following scholarship programs:
The Private Education Students Financial Assistance (PESFA) offers educational grants to poor or marginalized but deserving post-secondary students both in degree and non-degree courses. It also seeks to promote technical vocational education and training (TVET), and contribute to the nationwide development of a competent skilled workforce.
The Training for Work Scholarship Program (TWSP) is directed towards meeting
the job requirements of priority industries and sectors. It aims to fill skills gaps
particularly in industries with high employment demand and to improve the reach of quality TVET to the grassroots.
Special Training for Employment Program (STEP) is a community-based
specialty training programs that addresses the specific skills needs of communities and promotes employment particularly through entrepreneurial, self-employment and service oriented activities.
The TWSP/STEP seeks to address the needs of prospective beneficiaries from industries, communities and special clients:
- Filipino Citizen;
- Age Requirements:
- For TWSP, at least 18 years of age at the time he/she finishes the training program;
- For STEP and PESFA, at least fifteen (15) years old at the start of training program;
- Must not be a current beneficiary of other government educational scholarship or subsidy program for STEP beneficiaries.
- For PESFA, With an annual family income of three hundred thousand (P 300, 000.00) and below.
Each Scholar shall be entitled to the following benefits:

The approved standard fees of TWSP/STEP shall be strictly applied. The TVIs shall not extract any additional training fees from the beneficiaries.
